...Strange Land...

Sammael looked down on the girl in the forest. 'She looks like an elf,' he thought, snarling at her. He jumped down, landing lightly on his feet, feline in his movements. He straightened up and looked at the girl, "What are you doing in our forest, elf?" he asked, his words dripping with venom. He smiled, his fangs glinting, as a warning to her.

Sammael snarled, "This is the forest of the vampires, you are not welcome here, elf. Why were you wondering about these parts, anyway?" He had to admit, for an elf she was beautiful, although Sammael's tastes were not of that sort. He smiled, as she backed into a tree, 'A foolish thing to do, to get yourself cornered,' he thought to himself.

Ashellie's head tilted to the side as her eyes narrowed a bit. "I.. lost something.." she said, keeping her inferior look about her. A childlike innocent to set the fear on her face and her hands pressed in between her back and the base of the tree. "I didn't know this was the forest," she said quietly. "I always thought it was the darker part of Meria."

Sammael chuckled, "That it is, as well as the forest." He smiled, a little more friendly this time, although he still stood on the offensive. "I should warn you, there are worse of my kind, i am one of the more....civilised... Most would not stop to talk. Perhaps you should leave."

For a moment she just looked at him and then asked, "But which way is out.."

Saku dropped from the trees above them, landing cat-like between Sammael and the girl. "Ha, you've found a live one, brother," he said, laughing cruelly and taking in the girl's appearance. Blood. She's alive. I haven't drunk for ages. And she's an elf, he thought, catching sight of her ears, they say elvish blood is the nicest of all. "Oh look," he continued, advancing on the girl, who was backed against a tree. "And she's pretty too. What are we going to do with her?" He smiled as he stepped closer to her; he was only about a foot away from her now. He reached out and ran a long, pale finger along her cheekbone. "She's got a strong pulse," he said to Sammael, talking as if the girl couldn't hear. "I say we can do anything we like with her." He turned back to her, smiling. In any other situation he would have looked almost kindly. He opened his mouth slightly, running his tongue along his top row of teeth and baring his fangs, still touching the girl's face.

Sammael growled a warning at Saku, placing a firm grip on his arm and pulling him away from the elf, "No, Saku, this one can not be touched. Although she is trepassing, it was by accident. Come, we shall lead her out of the forest, and then i promise we will go hunting." HE kept his hand gripped around Saku's arm, knowing how he was with other people.

"Accident?" he asked sarcastically, shaking his arm from Sammael's grip and not taking his eyes away from the girl. "But surely we both agree that there are no accidents? And if we do not make an example of this one, we will become overrun by elves and - dare I mention it? - those filthy dogs, thinking they can get away with 'accidents'." He smiled again, in mock politeness. "And did you notice she was an elf, Sammael, brother? Elves have the nicest blood of all..."

Ashellie's heart raced as Saku's finger touched her face and she closed her eyes. She kept breathing as a way to calm her heart rate. With each word Saku said, fear grew inside her--though she'd never show it-- and she squeezed her eyes tighter closed. When Sammael spoke that she couldn't be harmed she opened her eyes again and looked between the two brothers. One wanted her blood.. The other, wanted to help her get out? She showed slight confusion on her face and tried to step back from Saku's hand, forgetting how close she was to the tree. Her foot caught on a large root causing her to fall sideways and a loud crack came from her ankle. She winced grabbing a hold of it in her hand and bit her lip to keep from screaming.

Sammael smiled, a hint of something in his eyes, as he held out his hand to the elf girl. "Now Saku, she may be trepassing but we don't want to cause trouble between us and the elves, do we? If you let her go, then we can go hunting together. Where's the fun in hunting without a chase?"

Ashellie at first just looked at his hand. She attempted to stand on her own and failed. Her ankle twist causing her to lose her balance again. She fell on her knees like a helpless child.

Sammael couldn't help but chuckle slightly. He bent down and pulled her easily to her feet, "There, that wasn't so bad." He leant forward and stage-whispered, "I'm the good vampire," before laughing and standing back next to Saku. He watched the elf, wondering what her next move would be. 'I wonder what Saku will do next, too,' he thought, smiling. This was going to be very interesting.

I can't run.. She said looking at her swollen ankle. She had to use Elven magic, but she wondered what would happen if she did. She looked between the two vampires into the blackened forest. She took a deep breath and began whistling softly under her breath, gradually get louder.

Saku laughed - a sharp, barking sound which echoed around the clearing. "Look, she's hurt herself! Oh dear," he said, tutting in a very patronising way as he stepped back two paces from her. "But you're right, Sammael. I agree with you." He turned once again to the elf, who was struggling with her injured ankle. "We'll count to ten." And he leaned in very close to her face, so that his nose was almost touching hers. His breath smelt oddly floral, despite his last meal having been a deer. "Run!" he shouted suddenly, grinning with childish delight at tormenting this elf-girl.

Crow walked along as he looked around the brush, he felt no comfort from this place. In fact he was a bit edgy. The heavy scent of tree bark and sap cooled his nerves. He closed his eyes as he took a big filling whiff. Oak..my favorite. he thought to himself as he listened to the crushing of dirt and leafs underneath his shoes. Crow's ear twitched from the sound of shouting and laughing coming from the east of him, he sighed as he slid a cigarette from his pack that he pulled from his pocket. It's none of my business.. he inhaled as he lit his cigarette then exhaled softly as he brought it from his lips. probably a bunch of drunken idiots anyways. he thought taking another drag from his cigarette.

Christabelle was walking through the forest keeping well hid in the trees. For once she was wearing pants and a shirt instead of a dress...Knowing that she was right on the edge of Meria and Bel' Nir. she saw someone light a cigarette. She walked up to him knowing he was not a vampire. She heard a noise and looked. "Oh no." she said holding her hand over her mouth, "That's Ashellie!"

Nawat, who had gotten word that not one but of the elves he was tailing were near the vampire forest, followed Christabelle knowing that she would lead him to the other.... somehow more fascinating elf girl....

Christabelle watched in horror as Ashellie fell and she could hear her ankle crack, and the vampires getting ready to kill her. She froze not wanting to know what to do.

Watching the more violent looking vampire w/ a angry gaze he watched as he moved closer to the female elf he was trying to hard to stalk.... thinks to himself " if he touches one of my prey i will beat him bloody!!"

Crow took another drag as he proceeded onwards. He noticed the girl who had walked up to him but, gave her nothing more then a nod. As he started to head east his curious nature finally taking over him. Damn it..fine he thought letting his feet guide him to his destination. Crow watched as three figures came to view, he arched a brow as he noticed the elven girl with a hurt ankle. "So I'm recking..that you fellas are helping that pretty lady?" he asked as he walked up.

Nawat Crow took stock as yet another person joined into the little get together down on the forest floor....and thinks to himself " i might as well add my presence to the mix" and jumps down landing like a leaf on the wind right beside Christabelle " hi everyone" he says amicably looks at the two other vampires and asks " and what do u think u are doing w/ my elf?"

"Great you again." she said sighing, "Just don't let them kill her."

" y would i? didnt i just claim her as mine?" looks around to make sure he hadnt just imagined it
